- Pergolas and sails: the modern-lined alternatives — dappled shade over lounging zones, hard shade over dining; the design rule is shading the people places while leaving the water in full sun
The living layer
An outdoor kitchen or bar within towel-walk of the water turns afternoons into whole days (and rental listings into bookings); a fire corner or pit extends the area into Bali’s mild evenings — the pairing with a warm spa is the premium-villa signature; and the deck itself is the connective tissue, its material carrying the whole composition.
